This year for the 4th, we went up to the fairgrounds to celebrate (well, technically it was the 3rd). We made it in time for a yummy BBQ dinner, but unfortunately, I forgot about all the daytime activities that they held, so the kids missed out on the water fight and the watermelon bust. We also enjoyed the firework display held that evening with some popcorn. It was a decent display that lasted about 15 minutes.
I was a little worried about how Lewis and Grant would do with the noise. Luckily, Lewis slept through the whole thing in his car seat.
Grant really enjoyed the popcorn and somewhat enjoyed the fireworks. I heard him say "Wow" a few times and the picture below truly represents his manor during the show. He pretty much had that look of awe and amazement the whole time.
Happy Independence Day!
