Stirling Reunion

The kids and I were able to attend the Stirling reunion over the weekend (Shane was at work). We followed a long, dirt road near Leeds to a campground called Oak Grove. This was a reunion for the descendants of William Stirling (my great-great Grandfather). Most of the people that came were my Grandma & her siblings and their kids and grandkids, although there were a few of her cousins there too. We ate, played games, visited and then ate again. The highlight of the day was when my brother dressed up in his Scottish garb and played the bagpipes. On the way home we stopped at the home that my Grandma grew up in.
As explained in this plaque that is displayed in front of the home, my great-great Grandfather, William, built the home with money that he was awarded for preventing an explosion at a silver ore processing mill.
Isn't family history fun to learn about?
