The 3rd grade just finished up their Chautauqua reports this week. For months, they've each been researching one significant person in American history. Evan chose to do his report on Jonas Salk. Jonas Salk was a research scientist who discovered a vaccine for polio.
After writing their reports, they had to memorize the whole thing. On Thursday, they dressed up as that person and presented their reports to all the parents. They gave their reports as if they were that person, telling us about their lives and the things that they accomplished.
When they were done with their reports, they all brought some finger foods and had a huge buffet in the cafeteria. We are so proud of Evan, he did a wonderful job on his report!

Is he in Becky's class?
Wow, Evan.... that's impressive. Great job, buddy!
I wish he was in Becky's class! No, all 3rd grade classes do this report.
It looks like he was excited about it. I love it when they're excited about sharing something they've learned.
