Valentines Day

The last few years, we haven't really celebrated Valentine's day. Shane always rants about how it's a stupid, made-up, commercialized holiday. For the most part, I agree with him. But, it's still fun to have an excuse to go on a date or to eat a lot of chocolate! Since I bought myself some new dishes a few weeks ago, we used Valentine's day as an excuse to justify the purchase.
I also received many beautiful (and tasty) broccoli bouquets from Shane's garden over the past few weeks. I must say that it was way better than wasting money on a flower bouquet that will just die (and you can't eat). It is the best broccoli I've ever tasted!
We didn't make it on a date, but Shane did share his chocolate orange sticks that he got as his gift. Happy Valentine's Day!!!

You're too cute! That's my kind of bouquet, edible. Good job on the garden -that broccoli is huge!

Love your plates! I hear white plates are really good because your food will look it's best. The color makes your food "pop" and I guess it is all about the pop factor? Great choice!

I love the plates. And the broccoli...yum. You are so cute pregnant. Not too much longer! But, the last month always goes the slowest.
