A Scouting We Will Go!

The last few weeks, Denver and Evan have been involved in several scouting events. Last week, Evan received his Bobcat award at the November pack meeting. The next day, the boys got dressed up in their uniforms and got to ride their bikes in the Veteran's Day Parade. I didn't get any pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it!

Then, this week, the 5th graders presented a patriotic program called "Americans We". All the scouts involved wore their uniforms and sang many patriotic songs along with their classmates. Denver also lead the color guard and posting of the colors before the program began. It was a neat program to watch and really made me proud to be an American! The cool part was seeing several Veteran's in the audience dressed up in their uniforms.
Also, Denver and I were able to help pass out flyer's for the Scouting For Food program that is held every year. It's feels good to help gather food for families in need!

Thanks for the help with the "cubmaster" title. Obviously by your yellow shirt you are involved in scouting. Sounds like you all have some great programs!

Fun scouting stuff. I don't know if I'll ever have to do that stuff!
